I'm currently a freshman at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in computer science. When I'm not 5,000 feet in the air like the picture to the left, I'm either engrossing myself in a Netflix show, playing piano, or writing.

I read this memoir for my AP English Lang class and was riveted by the author's words. Writing this critical analysis allowed me to reach beyond the surface of Skloot's words and enabled me to discover the truth behind the story of Henrietta Lacks.
